Friday 9/30

Just a quick update.  In the quest to identify the source(s) of Kathy's infection,
the hospital doctor wanted to rule out TB (which evidently can show up with MDS).

So, yesterday she was given the Mantoux (sp?) shot and put into an isolation room.
We should get the results by Sunday morning.  Her temp has been normal since Wednesday
morning and other vital signs are ok.  No nausea or chills, but the night sweats still show up.
They may be caused by her cancer.

I can visit her, but I am supposed to wear a mask.

Seize this day.  JD

  2. Dear Kathy and John--My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you. What an incredible journey you are on. My daughter often spoke of her journey as, "The Big Race." She knew that the tortoise always wins. There are many ways to win and a slow and steady pace is good for healing especially for two soul mates loved by family and friends as you certainly are.

The blog is such a gift. The artwork is fantastic. Loved the hat pix. Think I treasured one much like it.

Blessings and love to you and your family--Linda Carole

  3. John and Kathy,

If my arms were long enough, you'd feel a big hug. You are in my and Bill's thoughts every day. Take care,
